How Much Does Mobile Home Insurance Cost in Florida?
Your home’s details matter more than a headline average. We’ll help you understand what changes a Florida mobile-home quote and compare the coverage beside the price.
Start with your property address and the details you know. We’ll help with the rest.
Start with your home
The useful price is the one for your property
Mobile and manufactured home insurance prices vary with the address, home, roof, coverage, wind protection, deductibles and available insurers. We use those details together, then explain the choices that make one quote different from another.
A statewide average can hide whether wind is included, how a covered loss is paid or which home values were used. We would rather help you compare the actual options for your home.
This guide explains cost factors, not a statewide rate survey. Any deductible examples below are arithmetic illustrations, not actual quotes or promised premiums.
What changes the number
The details behind a mobile-home premium
| Price factor | How we review it |
|---|---|
| Address and exposure | Location, local wind exposure, fire protection and the insurers considering the property affect the comparison. We review flood separately. |
| Home and rebuilding limit | Size, year built, manufacturer, construction and selected dwelling coverage help insurers identify and price the home. Land value is a separate consideration. |
| Roof and anchoring | Roof material, condition and age, installation details and anchoring records may affect the available coverage, credits or eligibility. |
| Coverage and settlement | Dwelling, belongings, liability, living expenses and roof or water terms change the protection. Replacement cost and actual cash value can produce different prices and claim payments. |
| Wind and deductibles | Including or excluding wind changes the comparison. Deductible choices change how much of a covered loss you would pay yourself. |
| Use and attachments | Primary or seasonal use, rental use, a community lot or owned land, porches, carports and other structures all help define what is being insured. |
| Insurance and loss history | Prior coverage and relevant claims can affect the options. We use the actual information requested by each insurer. |

From percentages to dollars
Know what you would pay after a covered loss
A lower premium can come with a larger deductible. When a proposed hurricane deductible is a percentage of the dwelling limit, we put that amount in dollars so you can weigh it against your budget.

A fair comparison
Keep these choices beside the price
| Compare this | Why we check it |
|---|---|
| Dwelling limit | Compare the same amount of coverage for the home. Ask whether the limit reflects replacement cost and how attachments are counted. |
| Claim payment | Replacement cost and actual cash value can produce different claim payments. Check the roof and belongings separately, too. |
| Wind included? | Make sure both quotes include the wind coverage you want. A price with wind excluded is a different comparison. |
| Deductibles | Put the hurricane or wind deductible in dollars beside the all-other-perils deductible. They may apply to different losses. |
| Water and roof terms | Read water-damage limits, exclusions and roof settlement terms. The same dwelling limit does not mean every loss is covered the same way. |
| Full cost | Confirm the policy term, annual premium, fees, payment-plan charges and any separate flood premium before comparing totals. |
Replacement cost or actual cash value?
Actual cash value generally accounts for depreciation. Replacement-cost coverage works differently, subject to limits, conditions and the policy’s claim-payment rules. We review the home, roof and belongings separately rather than assuming the same wording applies to all three.
The Florida DFS overview explains the distinction.
Include the flood decision
If flood protection is needed or wanted, compare its separate premium and coverage alongside the mobile-home policy. A low home premium alone does not describe the full insurance decision for a property.
See the Florida OIR flood guidance.
Make the comparison personal
Buying, renewing or just checking your options?
Share the property address and tell us what you’re working toward. If you have a renewal, we can compare its limits and terms with the available alternatives. If you’re buying a manufactured home, include the closing or installation timeline and any lender requirements.

A few useful answers
Your mobile-home insurance questions
What is the average cost of mobile home insurance in Florida?
A published average may describe a different group of homes, coverage choices or dates than your property. We do not present site-built home prices as manufactured-home averages. We compare the actual address, home details, coverage, deductibles and available insurers to give you a relevant price.
Does wind coverage change a mobile home insurance quote?
Yes. A quote with wind excluded is a different coverage choice from one that includes it. Check wind and hurricane coverage, exclusions and deductibles before comparing the premium. We can explain those differences with your personal quotes.
Will choosing a higher deductible lower my premium?
A higher deductible may lower the premium, depending on the insurer and options available, but it increases what you pay after an applicable covered loss. We compare the available deductible choices and show percentage deductibles in dollars.
Is flood included in the mobile home insurance price?
Flood is generally a separate policy and premium. If you want flood protection or a lender requires it, compare that price alongside the mobile-home policy to understand the combined cost.
Should I compare monthly payments or annual premiums?
Compare the same policy term and the full premium, fees and payment-plan charges first. Monthly payments can differ because of down payments and installment fees. We can help you review both the total cost and the payment schedule.
How do I get a price for my manufactured home?
Start with your property address, contact details and whether you are buying or renewing. Include the year built, roof details and current policy if you have them. We will help you gather any additional information needed to compare available coverage and prices.
